Quantum Carpets
Few astrologers these days run an actual physical space in which to meet clients. What with zoom and other stuff you don’t need the overhead.
In February last year I did open an actual brick and mortar office in downtown Pleasantville, N.Y. I called the operation “Pleasantville Astrology”. And at the moment there is a sign right there on Memorial Plaza exactly between the nail salon and the Starbucks that says “Pleasantville Astrology”.
I have enjoyed meeting clients in person, and the office itself could be described as … snug. By which I mean it’s just big enough for a small table, two chairs and quite a lot of books with some soft lighting.
But … I also have a home office. Sadly the terms of the lease do not allow me to run a business from it. So I cannot invite clients there.
It doesn’t make sense to run the two spaces. I have been debating back and forth over which one to keep, which to let go.
Two synchronous events happened to help me decide. The first, I was discussing the dilemma with my good friend Jonathan, bemoaning the probable loss of in-person contact, when he said, “You could do house calls.” That had not occurred to me. I said, “I suppose I could.”
The next day. Let me say that again: the next day … the phone went, “Do you do house calls?” - “Yes!” I said.
The other thing that happened was a quantum manifestation from another strand of the multiverse.
Recently I did a day’s work as an actor on a very interesting independent film. Somehow the kids making this film - I say kids, by which I mean they are a lot younger than me - managed to procure an amazing venue in which to shoot their movie. Part of the set dressing was a couple of good looking carpets.
Knowing the terms of the SAG Micro Budget Agreement, I understood that there was not a lot of money involved in the budget, so after I was wrapped (finished the work), I wrote an email offering to make a cash offer for those carpets.
With the generosity that you sometimes find amongst passionate young artists, the two film makers (they are a couple) made a generous gift of the carpets, which I accepted with gratitude.
But here’s the thing, they are the EXACT size to within a few inches or so of what I need to fill the two rooms of the home office, and they transform the space.
Astrological indicators seemed to support these developments and so the decision is made.
I’m letting the downtown office go.
So now …
I’m offering a closing special of a pay-what-you-wish session, subject to availability. Only for sessions in person. From now until the last day of business, July 27th 2025.
If you, or anyone you know in the Westchester area of New York State, would like to look at the charts, please go to PleasantvilleAstrology.com , book an appointment and on the payment page use the code CLOSINGSPECIAL . That will give you a 100% discount, and then you just hand over what amount feels right when we meet. There is a $1 minimum; no maximum.
This offer only applies to in-person sessions, and certainly please feel free to pass it on to anyone you may know local to Pleasantville - the town is worth a visit.
It’s a place that lives up to its name.
